CG Thermal products are specifically designed and manufactured for service in the chemical process industry’s most demanding corrosive processes. Our products especially find application in processes involving either highly oxidizing and reducing acids or halogens, or in processes where contamination from metallic process equipment is of concern. The proprietary materials we use have been developed and continuously improved over a 50 year period to outperform and offer higher value than competitive metallic and non-metallic material options.

Impervite® graphite heat exchangers: CG Thermal Impervite® graphite heat exchangers are ideally suited for the processing of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, waste acids and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Impervite® fully graphitized tubing has the combined properties of high thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, and low carbon content which results in high thermal efficiency, higher thermal shock resistance and excellent fatigue life. Our broad product offering allows for our application engineers to choose the unit type best suited for your application.

Impervite®is a composite material consisting of a graphite substrate impregnated using a proprietary phenolic impregnation process. Impervite is ideally suited for processing mixed acids, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, waste acids, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. It has excellent machining, physical, and thermal properties.
